The first disk drive - IBM's 1956 RAMAC, which stored 5 MB. Compare to this:
This drive, given to me by the nice folks at Western Digital, weighs about an ounce and stores 6 GB. 32,000 of these would weigh about the same amount as the RAMAC... and would hold nearly 200 terabytes, or 40 million times as much data as the RAMAC.
